Vocabulary Lesson #3: Groupy Strep

There is this lovely "non-nurse, blood drawing" assistant that works at my office named Celeste. She is very smart & a fast learner & always wanting to know more, more, more! In her diligent way of trying to make the clinic run smoother she typed a list of all of the names of blood work & the correlating labs. One of our other excellent nurses, Nichole, wanted to make sure I knew all of the hard work Celeste put into the list & pointed our her list mentions the term "Groupy Strep." We are both hoping Celeste will read this Vocabulary lesson.....to learn the term is really "Group B Strep"....definition--a lab test that checks for prescence of a particular type of bacteria in the area of the birth canal.
