We went to Baton Rouge for Labor Day weekend. We actually drove to Brad's sister Genia's house in Alexandria on Thursday & spent the night with them. A friend of mine got married Friday night (I will devote a post to detail the fabulous wedding) We had planned to go to LSU game Saturday evening & leave there on Sunday, but Gustav made us leave mid-day Saturday. We did make it to the game since they bumped up the start time. After that we "evacuated" to my parents in Elm Grove & stayed there a couple of nights. Needless to say, we all four were tired of being in the Odyssey van by the time we got back to Conway. The boys overall did well...if my count is correct they watched 101 Dalmations 101 times.
All of our family is safe. Brad's mom & stepdad are toughing it out going on day 4 without electricity/hot water in BR heat.
Just thought I would share some of the pretty things we saw in LA.
The state capitol building in downtown BR
Beautiful hundred year old oak trees with moss hanging on branches.
My purple pedicure for the LSU game
Brad's step-dad, CD, playing with the boys.
